Being right on the lake is magical
Amy A. | Apr 2024
This vacation was just what my family and I needed. It had great views of the lake, perfect amenities, and overall was a comfortable place to stay. We will definitely be staying here again.
Nicholas B. | Apr 2024
Had an absolute wonderful 4 day stay. Plenty of towels, coffee, toiletry products, etc for the duration. Obviously owner takes pride in dishes, pots n pans, silverware, etc. Each morning has excitement to see the mountain light up and watch the area from above come alive. A quick one mile trip down the mountain and you are at the lake and in the hustle and bustle. A trip home leaves it all behind, back to peace and serenity.

Where is Bear Lake?

Due north and east of the Great Salt Lake, the smaller (but magnificent) Bear Lake is split in half by the border of Utah and Idaho. At about 125 miles from Salt Lake City, it’s a convenient weekend getaway for many Utahns. Since the lake’s shore extends into Idaho, our Bear Lake vacation rentals and cabins might be in either state.

Things to do in Bear Lake

If you’re here for the lake, rent a boat and put it in the water at First Point boat ramp to get the aquatic fun started. Renting a four-wheeler is another exciting way to enjoy the beautiful Bear Lake scenery. Garden City, the Utah town on the lake’s shore, boasts a lovely bike trail, fishing pond, town center, and more. The area is known for its raspberries, and if you’re lucky enough to visit during the first week of August, you’ll get to enjoy the annual Raspberry Days festival. Winter visitors can easily access the ski slopes at Beaver Mountain, just 14 miles west.

The natural beauty of Bear Lake is truly stunning, and the surrounding area offers plenty of rentals to suit every visitor’s taste. Take your pick of our Bear Lake cabin rentals, and let the adventure begin.
